Indian jet shoots down UFO over Rajasthan
Residents reported a series of explosions after the UFO was shot down.
The incident, which occurred yesterday morning, is already being referred to as ‘India’s Roswell’.
According to the Indian Air Force, the object, which was described as “suspicious”, was intercepted by a fighter jet after showing up on radar over the Rajasthan near the border with Pakistan.

The area was later investigated by local law enforcement agencies who recovered a selection of cone-shaped objects from the crash site and sent them to Air Force officials for analysis.

“Between 10.30 and 11 am today (Tuesday, January 26, 2016) an unidentified balloon-shaped object was picked up by the Indian Air Force (IAF) radar,” said a spokesman.

“An IAF fighter was launched, which intercepted the object and brought it down. Materials have been retrieved and further investigation is ongoing.”

To further add to the mystery, local residents had reported hearing a total of five explosions at the time the UFO was shot down – some powerful enough to cause cracks to appear in buildings.

Since appearing online the story has been generating a great deal of interest with some Internet users speculating that the object could have been some sort of spy plane.

Many have also drawn parallels between this and the infamous 1947 Roswell UFO crash.

Whatever the object was it seems unlikely to have been a weather balloon.
